The Ladder PDF Print E-mail
Written by Tabata Young

He glides his way up to the top
He looks down upon the ones who love him
All seems well but the terror is near
As he falls and no one is left here
The embraces once there to comfort him
Has escaped in pure shock and fear
Who would have ever thought
That someone can turn so sour
Because of a step closer to fortune
Treasure of the empty souls roaming the earth
Fake Gods that rule all and leave none behind
Pain, cloaked by the greens made by man
Illusioned of a better world
Richer in lack of what is principle
Climb up the ladder only to fall
Downward, stronger then hitting the wall
Blood splattered all over the fields of green
But no one cares, no one looks within
Wipe the blood off and buy another car
Litter and spit all over my scar

Quotes

Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.

Edgar Allan Poe
