My running shoes are worn
I have nowhere left to hide
I have explored and exploited all possibilities
And I am left with only my disguise

I pretend to be like you
I wear a mask throughout my life
I can't even follow my own advice
And I can't blame it all on you

I wish I could have taken it back
All the mistakes and pain I have caused
Not to you, but to my own heart
But now it's just too late

It is in the darkest hour of a cloudy night
When the moon refuses to shine for me
That I realize the paths I have chosen
And cry tears of blue blood that comes from deeper within than my veins

What have I left?
I have left it all behind
Fallen on the roads of destiny
Is the treasure that is only you

I cannot hide
Nor turn back in time
I live with doubts
Fear of the unknown

Take me back to the life
That once belonged to me
Before the course of time
Before the trails of pain
