Where have you gone
And where have you left me
Your warmth has gone away
And has left nothing but cold fear behind
A lost touch I envision in my mind
With all your glory
And a pure love I have yet
To experience again…

Oh, Almighty hand
When will you be back
And when will you bring me back
My lands of heaven you have taken
When you strayed
And left me all alone
In this dark place

Oh, Almighty hand
Where have you taken my joy
Look what have you done with my life
I feel empty again
You had to take it all away
I am afraid of the dark
Come back to me
Bring me back my time…

Oh, Almighty hand
Why have you abandoned my love
Rejected my fidelity
And turned my world upside down
Where are you now
I need you, I am comfortless
You have stolen the sun
The rays of hope
I fed on for survival…

Oh, Almighty hand
Come back to me
Heal me of damnation
Forgive my bleeding heart
Pouring out its loneliness…

I've been writing poetry for many years and once upon a time even ran a successful poetry community, but now I rarely have time to read, much less write any. And mostly, I just don't feel as creative with words any longer. But it was fun, and occasionally I get a spur of creativity and write poetry again!
